There are so many ways to wear a Little Black Dress, and so many occasions that it’s appropriate for! A LBD is not just for formal events or a date night, they are made to be worn on a Monday morning running errands, an all-day shift at work, and drinks with the girls. We all know how “black goes with everything” so why not sport it with everything!

I honestly wear plaid about 12 months out of the year, and tying up this button down dress is a super modern & causal way to rock a LBD when you need something less formal and more fun.
Try leaving a button down dress opened under your LBD and belt it on top to cinch in your waist.
You may see a pattern in my posts of me wearing ankle boots on a weekly (and often daily) basis. I just love how rustic & fun these ones are!
If you need to dress down an outfit, try a flat bootie or a suede loafer for a more causal & edgy look.
I have a thing for small but wonderful details, so the exposed gold zipper in the front of this dress is absolute perfection to me ❤ I really love to layer different textures, and the lace fabric under a silky plaid is super comfortable and just adorable 🙂
I’m a big fan of the 30 second bun, and an easy but chic ‘do’ like this is a must to dress up the plaid, and dress down this LBD look.
